Jim Carrey: A True Role Model
You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love.

This marvellously talented legend has all sorts of comic remedies that help anyone to cover up their worries for a while and drift away into a hilarious carnival. A hilarious movie carnival that gives you different rides of laughter throughout all the scenes, the funny absurd facial expressions and his rib tickling lines that really keep our eyes and mind plunged into the movie. The Mask was one among his epic films. I grew up watching and knowing comedy through the one and only Jim Carrey. He is so good at what he does, and he does it to an exceptional level that influences majority of people to enjoy life and be optimistic.

He isn’t only a master of laughs, he is also a true role model to his audience. In one such speech given by Jim Carrey at Maharishi University of Management he mentioned that his father loved to be a great comedian but he let fear get in his way which led him to be an accountant, but ended up getting fired from his job. This is where Jim Carrey lays down one of his best quotes from his speech, “You can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance at doing what you love”. Telling this story is impactful because many of us can relate to family members who have made sacrifices or have passed up opportunities out of fear.

Jim Carrey added that it is only because of his father that he had chosen to become an actor. He took his ability and talent as a need of the audience and provided it in the best possible way. Ultimately, many people would only watch a comedy if Jim Carrey was the star in it. This is exactly what he made us see through his question when he asked, “What do they need that your talent can provide?” That's all you have to figure out. He also added, “I can tell you from experience, the effect you have on others is the most valuable currency there is”.

I still recall how often I would love to spend my teenage boredom days watching Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber and The Mask. Each time I watch those, I felt an instant feeling of happiness and I kept watching the same movies repeatedly for as long as I can remember. I adore this actor. He makes us laugh and also uplifts us. This is why, for me he is an express train of good values and he holds a firm grip on them with great pride.
